New Delhi: A 50-year-old labourer was killed in a hit-and-run incident after being hit by a speeding motorcycle on Punchkuian Road in central Delhi on Sunday evening.
The victim, identified as Dina, was crossing the road around 7 pm when he was hit by a motorcycle by a 29-year-old man. The rider fled the spot after the collision, leaving the victim critically injured. Dina later succumbed to his injuries.
Police arrested the accused, Sudhir Rai (29), a resident of Karawal Nagar, on Tuesday. Police said the accused, who is also the owner of the motorcycle, was identified by the complainant, Dina’s neighbour.
