The other snatcher, who fled the spot, was arrested later.
The accused duo in the September 2 snatching case have been identified as Mohd. Chand (23) and Aftab Alam (19). Both are residents of Bawana.
The incident took place at night when the 33-year-old woman had hired the auto from Burari and was on her way to an ISBT to catch her bus to go to her native village.
"When the vehicle reached the Wazirabad flyover, two boys on a motorcycle came and snatched the phone from her hand and threatened her with dire consequences." Sagar Singh Kalsi, deputy commissioner of police (north), said.
The motorcycle was without a number plate and the duo sped towards Majnu Ka Tilla, police sources said.

The woman did not give up. She told the driver to give chase. "The woman drew the attention of our duty staff in a timely manner when they were patrolling the area. Cops swung into action and the one of the accused was apprehended. A case of robbery under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the two accused," a police source said.
During interrogation, one of the men confessed to the crime and led the cops to the second suspect. Further, the accused person also disclosed that he and his associate had been indulging in theft of other motorcycles and two-wheelers for the last three months and were using the stolen vehicles to commit crimes.
"Subsequently, raids were conducted at possible hideouts of an absconding co-accused who was also arrested. Four cases of theft across the city have been worked out with the arrest," the DCP said.
