A 44-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his employer, a dairy owner, with a hammer in Ghazipur. The accused told investigators the victim used to abuse and manhandle him, so he wanted to take revenge.

NEW DELHI: A 44-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his employer, a dairy owner, with a hammer in Ghazipur. The accused told investigators the victim used to abuse and manhandle him, so he wanted to take revenge.
The accused has been identified as Sanjay Rai alias Pyali from Bihar. After receiving a PCR call from Ghazipur Dairy Farm on Saturday, a police team went to the spot and found a man lying unconscious in a pool of blood with injuries on his forehead and face.

He was declared dead at hospital. The deceased was identified as Anand (24), who lived in Mandawali and was the owner of the dairy.
A murder case was registered and police zeroed in on Rai who had been absconding since the incident. “He was nabbed from his village in Bihar,” deputy commissioner of police (east) Priyanka Kashyap said.
The accused said that on the day of the incident, Anand had consumed alcohol and abused him. Rai returned while Anand was sleeping, attacked him with a hammer, and fled, the cop said, adding that he was also planning to flee from his village.
