NEW DELHI: AAP MP Swati Maliwal criticised former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday, accusing him of undermining the INDI Alliance and siphoning off Congress votes in the Haryana assembly elections.
Her comments followed emerging trends showing Congress trailing behind BJP in the 90-seat assembly, with final results expected by Tuesday evening.
On X, Maliwal posted, “He came to Haryana solely to settle scores with Congress. He once falsely accused me of being a BJP agent, yet today he is the one betraying the INDIA alliance and hurting the Congress vote.”
She further noted that AAP fielded a candidate specifically to challenge Vinesh Phogat and questioned AAP’s struggles, saying, "Why are you unable to save your deposits in your home state? There is still time. Give up your ego, remove the veil from your blurry eyes, stop doing drama and work for the people," she added.
As of 11am, data from the Election Commission indicated that AAP was unlikely to win any seats in Haryana, capturing just 1.53% of the vote share.
