‘Groom’ held for duping 15 women
NEW DELHI: A 34-year-old man allegedly cheated around 15

The accused would thereafter establish contact with the woman and strike a friendship. He went to hill stations and Goa with them on pretext of getting to know them and filmed them after getting them in compromising positions.
Later, he extorted lakhs of rupees from them by threatening to post their photos and videos on social networking sites. On his profile and to the women, he posed as a business tycoon and son of a bureaucrat.
Police have recovered nine sim cards, fake identity documents like Aadhaar card, voter card and Pan card. An I-card of Goldman Sachs and another of American Express, five boarding passes and four debit cards have been seized as well.
The woman’s kin filed a complaint at Vivek Vihar police station in east Delhi. “On September 5, a missing report of a lady aged about 42 years and her minor son (12) was filed by the woman’s brother. The woman was a teacher and had disappeared since September 3. The brother also informed cops about a man she had been in touch with through a matrimony site,” said DCP (Shahdara)
“A team led by SHO Sanjay Sharma chased him down to New Delhi railway station and arrested him just before he was boarding a train to Mumbai. The woman and her son were found to be with him,” she added.
