Mumbai Metro Line 2B Set to Open This Year

The Mumbai Metro Line 2B (D.N. Nagar–Mandale), a 23.6 km elevated corridor with 20 stations, is nearing launch, with its first phase between Mandale and Chembur expected to open this year. Developed at a cost of Rs 10,986 crore, the line will connect the eastern and western suburbs, linking key routes like the Western and Eastern Express Highways, and integrating with multiple metro lines and the Monorail.

Delhi Metro’s Pink Line Extension to Open Soon

The Delhi Metro’s Pink Line extension from Majlis Park to Maujpur is set to open soon, completing the city’s first circular corridor. Stretching 71.6 km with 46 stations and 12 interchanges, it will become the longest and most connected line in the DMRC network. The new link will ease travel across north and east Delhi and mark a key milestone in Phase IV expansion.

Chennai Metro Phase II: Porur–Kodambakkam Power House Stretch to Open by June 2026

The Chennai Metro Rail’s Phase II project is progressing rapidly, with trial runs already underway between Poonamallee and Porur. The next 8 km section — Porur to Kodambakkam Power House — is set to open by June 2026, expanding operations on Corridor 4 (Poonamallee–Lighthouse). The line features a unique 4 km double-decker stretch where Corridors 4 and 5 share four stations, one of the most complex metro structures in India.

Pune Metro Line 3 on Track for March 2026 Launch

The 23.2-km Pune Metro Line 3, connecting Hinjawadi IT Park to Shivajinagar, is now nearly 90% complete, with full operations expected by March 2026. Developed under India’s first PPP-based metro project — between TRIL Urban Transport Pvt Ltd and Siemens Project Ventures GmbH — the Rs 8,313-crore corridor features 23 elevated stations and aims to significantly cut traffic congestion and pollution across Pune’s key tech and business zones.

Delhi Metro Magenta Line Extension to Be Fully Ready by 2026

Delhi Metro’s Phase-IV Magenta Line extension from Janakpuri West to RK Ashram is moving ahead steadily and is expected to be fully operational by 2026. The 29.3 km stretch will feature 22 stations, including eight interchange hubs, boosting connectivity across west, central, and south Delhi.

Bhopal Metro Nears Launch: First 7 km Stretch to Open Soon

The Bhopal Metro is nearing its debut, with the 7 km priority section between Subhash Nagar and AIIMS Bhopal expected to open soon. Built at a cost of Rs 6,941 crore, the project includes 27 train sets, eight of which have already been delivered. The network’s Orange and Blue lines (Phase I & II) are planned for full completion by 2030.

Mumbai Metro Line 4: Green Corridor to Open Soon

The Mumbai Metro Line 4 (Wadala–Kasarvadavali) is moving toward its first phase of opening, with key construction clearances now in place. Spanning 32.3 km with 30 elevated stations, the Green Line will connect Wadala to Thane, integrating with major corridors such as Lines 2B, 5 and 6 and the Eastern Express Highway.

Indore Metro Phase II Expansion to Be Fully Operational by 2026

The Indore Metro is on track to become fully operational by early 2026, expanding its network to a 17.5 km priority corridor from Gandhi Nagar Station to Radisson Square. The project will enhance urban mobility by linking key areas such as Vijay Nagar, Sukhlia, and major IT zones along the Super Corridor. Developed in three phases, the Metro will ultimately cover over 30 km, featuring both elevated and underground sections.

Delhi's Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor Set to Open Soon

The Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, India’s first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), is close to full operation, with the final stretch from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut set to open soon. Currently, 55 km of the 82 km corridor between New Ashok Nagar and Meerut South is operational, while the remaining sections — Sarai Kale Khan–New Ashok Nagar and Meerut South–Modipuram — are nearing readiness.

Mumbai Metro Line 9 Phase 1 to Open by December

​Mumbai Metro Line 9 & 7A extension, connecting Andheri to CSIA and Dahisar to Mira Bhayandar, is progressing toward launch, with the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety inspecting the first 4.5 km phase between Dahisar East and Kashigaon. This marks the final step before passenger services begin by December 2025. Spanning 13.6 km with 10 stations, Line 9 will enhance connectivity between western suburbs and key business districts while linking to Metro Lines 2A and 7.

Delhi Metro’s Golden Line to Open by 2026

The Golden Line part of Delhi Metro’s ambitious Phase-IV expansion, is under rapid construction and is expected to be operational by Mid 2026. Spanning 23.6 km from Aerocity to Tughlaqabad, the corridor will feature 15 stations — 11 underground and 4 elevated — improving access between south and central Delhi.
