NEW DELHI: A fresh bout of rainfall blessed several parts of Delhi on Saturday evening, offering respite from the sweltering heat.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that the maximum temperature settled at 32 degrees Celsius, which is two notches below the usual, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.2 degrees Celsius, also two notches below the season's average.

In the 24-hour period leading up to 8.30am, the national capital received 10mm of rainfall. Relative humidity levels fluctuated between 87 and 98 per cent, as reported by the weather office.
The Meteorological Department's forecast for Sunday indicates generally overcast skies with the likelihood of light rain or drizzle. Maximum and minimum temperatures for the day are anticipated to be around 34 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.
An additional automatic weather station has been installed by the IMD near Pragati Maidan, where the G20 Summit commenced on Saturday. This station is set up to provide specialized and real-time weather forecasts for the event.
