Free stay for Jamia aspirants, courtesy alumni

NEW DELHI: In a first such attempt, the Electronics

Alumni

Association — an alumni group of

Jamia Millia Islamia

—have decided to provide free accommodations for a night to aspirants arriving in the city who will appear for their diploma in electronics engineering entrance examination, scheduled to be held on May 20.

“We will provide accommodation on a first come, first serve basis at

Batla House

,” said Umar Farooque, a member of the association. Farooque said the aspirants will stay at assosiation member’s house.

The association will also set up camps outside the

Jamia

campus gate on the day of the entrance exam and will assist aspirants with their documentation, roll numbers, etc.
