NEW DELHI: There was drama at a five-star hotel in Chanakyapuri on Wednesday night after a woman accused a pilot from an international airline of harassing her. A police complaint was registered. However, during investigations, it was found that the pilot had mistaken the woman for another person known to him. He has been detained until clearance is received from his embassy for his exit from the country.

The incident was reported around 10.30pm. The woman, a resident of Mumbai, had checked into the hotel and was in the lobby. She said that the man sitting on the sofa opposite hers walked up and, in a soft voice, asked her something about an agent.
The woman said he kept following her in the lobby even after she refused. Later, So the woman walked up to the reception and
she informed the hotel staff about the man.
The staff asked security personnel to escort her to her room. However, the woman insisted on a police complaint. A team from Chanakyapuri police station reached the hotel. After investigations, it was found that he had been looking for another woman who was supposed to wait for him in the lobby. A probe has been initiated. CCTV footage from the lobby is being examined.
