Fire in central Delhi, 2 die

Two persons, including a teenager, were charred to death in central Delhi after a fire broke out on the second floor of a building in Chandani Mahal on Tuesday night.

NEW DELHI: Two persons, including a teenager, were charred to death in central Delhi after a fire broke out on the second floor of a building in Chandani Mahal on Tuesday night. The blaze was reported from Churi Walan area in Chandani Mahal at around 11.30pm. Three fire tenders were sent to douse the fire, said officials.
The victims,Wasim (19) and Naeem (35), suffered burn injuries.

They were rushed to Lok Nayak Hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.
"We received a call from Chandani Mahal area in central Delhi at around 11.40pm on Tuesday. We managed to douse the fire in ten minutes," said a senior officer from the fire department.
