Fire breaks out in southeast Delhi area, 12 huts gutted

NEW DELHI: A fire erupted in the Chilla Khadar area of southeast Delhi on Saturday, resulting in the destruction of at least 12 huts, according to officials from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS).

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The DFS received a call at 10:46am, promptly dispatching seven fire tenders to the scene.

"The fire tenders took almost an hour to douse the flames completely. No casualty has been reported so far," stated a DFS official.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to the outbreak.
