Singer Sonam Kalra will be putting up a performance with her ensemble, Sonam Kalra & The Sufi Gospel Project, on Saturday, November 26. The singer, who performed at the Sydney Opera House as part of the 2016 Confluence – A Festival of India in Australia, says, “I will be singing at the LitFest with my ensemble, which blends the many voices of faith through poetry, prayer and music to create one universal voice of faith. The words of Sufi poet Baba Bulleh Shah, blended with Irish music and the poetry of Amir Khusrau, finds resonance in the hymn Amazing Grace.”

Stand-up comics Abijit Ganguly, Amit Tandon, Anirban Dasgupta,

Maheep Singh

and

Neeti Palta

are all set to tickle your funny bone on Sunday, November 27. About the performance, Amit says, “Since it’s a literature festival, we are planning to pick on a few authors. We even plan to pick some paras from their books and roast them based on that. Apart from this, there will be a section on topical issues, like demonetization and the current situation in India in general. It’ll be a one-hour show, but it won’t be pure stand-up. Basically, the show will be a little edgy and one should come only if they don’t take offence. And even if they do, we don’t really care!”
