NEW DELHI: Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Monday has granted time to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to file its response on actor Jacqueline Fernandez’s application seeking to turn approver in the money laundering case linked to Sukesh Chandrasekhar.During the hearing, the ED said that the application is "vague" and stated that it requires additional time to examine the plea in detail.

The court has listed the matter for hearing on May 8.Last week, Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez had expressed her willingness to turn approver in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case connected to Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The development took place during proceedings before the Patiala House Court, where the case is currently pending.Following her submission, the court directed the actor to file a formal application before the concerned department. A counsel confirmed the court’s direction, stating that Fernandez would need to move the appropriate plea as part of the legal process, according to news agency ANI.The matter relates to alleged money laundering activities involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar and is being heard by the Patiala House Court.(With agency inputs)
