NEW DELHI: Patiala House court complex, one of the six district courts in the capital, on Wednesday switched to e-stamping facility completely.
District judge of Patiala House court, I S Mehta, inaugurated the e-stamping arrangement in the court complex, making it the first district court to fully switch over to the e-stamping process and do away with stamp papers.

The move is aimed at ensuring hassle-free transactions and keeping a check on fraudulent practices.
The e-stamping facility, which was introduced in April 2008, is now available in all denominations. On an average, the city government collects revenue to the tune of Rs 200 crore monthly through e-stamping facility.
