Juvenile behind the wheel

A 23-year-old man was killed in Dwarka after an SUV allegedly driven by a minor without a licence rammed his motorcycle near Lal Bahadur Shastri College. The vehicle also hit a parked car, leaving multiple vehicles damaged and triggering a police probe.

Crash at 11:57am sparks FIR

Police registered an FIR at Dwarka South police station under relevant BNS sections after a PCR call at 11:57am reported a serious crash. Sahil Dhaneshra was found dead at the scene, while an injured taxi driver was shifted to IGI Hospital.

3/7

Raised by a single mother

Sahil was raised single-handedly by his mother, Inna Makan, who says she devoted 23 years to nurturing his ambitions. She has called his death an irreparable loss.

4/7

‘Reels’ stunt allegation

The victim’s mother alleged the minor was making “fun reels” with his sister and driving at high speed before veering into the opposite lane. She claimed the SUV performed stunts and did not apply brakes before crashing into Sahil’s bike.

5/7

Dream cut short

Sahil, in the final semester of his BBA, had secured admission to a university in Manchester and was preparing to move to the UK. Medals and notes at his Dwarka home now stand as reminders of aspirations left unfulfilled.

6/7

Mother’s emotional appeal

Inna Makan, who raised Sahil as a single parent, has taken to social media seeking justice. She termed the crash “criminal activity” and questioned why stricter action was not taken despite alleged prior overspeeding challans.

7/7

Multi-vehicle collision

According to the preliminary probe, the SUV first collided with Sahil’s motorcycle coming from the opposite direction and then rammed into a parked car. Three vehicles were found in accidental condition at the scene.
