NEW DELHI: The west district police have arrested a driver and a teenager for committing several auto thefts in the Janakpuri and Vikaspuri areas.
"The accused Gaurav Verma is a cab driver by profession. Due to deflation in the travel market, his business was running into losses. So he decided to make easy money through auto thefts. He lured a boy from a poor background to assist him,'' said DCP (west) V Renganathan.
The teenager, who is studying in class XII, wanted to pursue an engineering course and needed the money to fund his education.
