'Dowry forced teacher to end life'

NEW DELHI: A day after the body of a 31-year-old woman was found in Jamia Nagar, police said the victim, Priyanka Sharma, committed suicide due to marital discord. Sharma’s body was handed over to her parents after the postmortem at AIIMs.
On Friday, the sub-divisional magistrate recorded her family’s statement. The magistrate said a case should be registered against the husband for dowry death.
The police found a suicide note in which Sharma said she was upset with her husband and was taking the extreme step due to that.
