NEW DELHI: A 26-year-old domestic help has accused her employer, a flight lieutenant with the Air Force, of beating and levelling false allegations of theft on her.
Lakshmi, who started working with the flight lieutenant in Subroto Park a month ago, lodged her complaint with the Dhaula Kuan police station.
The police, however, are yet to register a case.
An officer said: ‘‘The Air Force police are conducting their own investigation. They took Lakshmi and her husband’s finger-prints after the flight lieutenant alleged that the domestic help had stolen two gold bangles from his house.’’
‘‘Lakshmi lives in the servant quarters of the Air Force officers’ flats in Subroto Park along with her husband,’’ the police said.
Her employer, reportedly, questioned her about the bangles first on Friday. Apparently, on Saturday, he forced her to admit the theft. ‘‘When she denied the allegations, the flight lieutenant, she alleged, beat her up. She, then, called her husband and brother-in-law who took her away,’’ said the police.
