NEW DELHI: A domestic help allegedly masterminded a fake Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid at her employer’s residence in South-East Delhi’s New Friends Colony on Wednesday, police said, with a few suspects apprehended in connection with the case.
According to authorities, the maid had meticulously planned the operation and roped in close associates to execute the staged raid.
She reportedly provided detailed information about the household, including the number of residents and their daily routines, enabling the group to convincingly pose as ED officials.
The incident was reported on Feb 11.
During the investigation, police recovered several items, including seven watches, a deputy commandant’s uniform, a fake ID card, a pistol, and jewellery. Further questioning of the suspects is underway as police probe the full extent of the conspiracy.
