Digital technology to manage traffic jams

NEW DELHI: National Highways Authority of India (

NHAI

) will implement a pilot project to manage daily traffic jams on the

Delhi-Gurgaon

expressway using latest digital technologies such as intelligent traffic management system (

ITMS

) and surveillance cameras.

“The pilot project of decongesting traffic flow on Delhi-Gurgaon highway will soon be initiated and later it will be implemented in other parts of the country. To decongest traffic on this stretch of NH-8 latest traffic management techniques will be adopted, ” NHAI chairman Raghav Chandra said at an event organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday.
