New Delhi: The mother of six-year-old Devansh has alleged that the school staff is misguiding police officials to delay investigations.
She claimed her son's lunch was found uneaten when his tiffin box was recovered from the tank which according to her proves that he went missing before his lunch break, which is at 10.30am every day. The school authorities have claimed that Devansh went missing since 12.20pm.
Mamta Meena, who works as a paramedic staff at the ENT department of AIIMS, said Devansh used to only have a glass of milk before going to school and always finished his lunch.
"I used to prepare the lunch according to his choice. On Saturday, I had packed aloo ka paratha and aam ka achar. When we received his belongings, his lunch was untouched. If he did not eat his lunch it means he was out of the class before 10.30am. We want to know where he had been since that time till 12.20pm. Initially, the principal told us that he had gone missing for 15 minutes around 11.30 also. These are all stories to show that he was extra mischievous," she said.
Ramhet Meena, Devansh's father, said the school administration is making stories to avoid arrest. Meena said he had pleaded with the school staff, including the principal and the sweepers, to reveal the sequence of events which led to his son's death, but failed to get any convincing answer.
"Teachers ensure that all the children of the junior classes finish their lunch. Then why did the principal tell police that he went missing since 12.20pm? They are changing their statements to hide the truth. When I asked the principal to reveal how he fell in the tank, she said the inquiry is on. Devansh's class teacher have not answered our calls since the first day. Even police have failed to convey us the exact sequence of events," he said.
