DERC official moves court against chief

NEW DELHI: A senior official with the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) has alleged that the chairman V K Sood misused his official position to get his son a job in private power distribution company BSES.
Director (administration) Aruna Bhatia filed a writ petition in the Delhi High Court recently, alleging that Sood had misused his position and was currently trying to repatriate her to her parent cadre, the Central Board of Direct Taxes.
In his reply, Sood admitted that his son was a management trainee for a period of one year but had resigned soon after.
He, however, added that the information was in the knowledge of everybody concerned. The matter is slated for hearing on November 12.
