NEW DELHI: Trinagar councillor Atma Ram Gupta''s dentist on Monday told a city court that prime accused Sharda Jain accompanied Gupta to his clinic on the day he was reported missing.
Satish Chandra Rajput, who runs a dental clinic in Preet Vihar, told the court that Jain used to accompany Gupta during his visits to the clinic.
According to Rajput, Jain had come along with Gupta to his clinic on August 23, 2002.
He said that he came to know about Gupta''s murder from the media later.
Rajput was among the three witnesses who deposed in the court of additional sessions judge B B Choudhary in the Atma Ram Gupta murder case. The court had on February 21 framed charges against Jain and eight others.
Jain has been charged with murder, kidnapping, criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence.
Gupta was allegedly abducted and murdered on August 23, 2002. His body was recovered from a canal in UP.
