'Chemicals, next-life concept, daily routine': Family diary recovered in Delhi's Laxmi Nagar triple murder case; chilling details emerge
NEW DELHI: While investigating the triple murder case in east Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar, in which a woman and her two children were allegedly killed by her son, police recovered a diary believed to be maintained by the family.
According to investigators, the diary had entries detailing the family’s day-to-day activities.
Police sources said the diary will be sent for forensic examination to determine who authored the entries and to establish their relevance to the case.
A source familiar with the investigation claimed the diary not only records everyday family matters but also includes references to chemical and the concept of next life. “We are examining the contents closely to assess whether the writings have any direct connection to the crime,” the officer said.
The deceased were identified as Kavita (46) and two siblings, Meghna (24), a lab staffer and Mukul (14), a Class VII student. The probe revealed the accused, identified as Yashbir Singh, was under financial stress.
The cops found that the family took loan from at least 11 people; however, accused’s father, Dharambir, insisted there was no monetary distress.
Originally from Panipat, the family owns agricultural land and heavy machinery, including JCBs and tractors. According to relatives, the family engaged in several high-value transactions over the years.
Recently, a house was sold in Nov for about Rs 60 lakh, meant to be used to buy a home in Laxmi Nagar.
