NEW DELHI: BJP holds the advantage in a triangular fight in Delhi, which is set to vote on May 12, with Congress not responding positively to AAP’s overtures for a tie-up. However, the two parties – going by their vote share in previous elections – could give BJP a stiff fight if they came together.
The air strike on Pakistan has given BJP an edge. A big saffron win could impact the assembly polls, just a year away. Congress, however, feels a tie-up may halt its revival in Delhi. The last word, though, is yet to be heard on this. Gurugram also votes on May 12 while Noida and Ghaziabad go to polls on April 11.
