NEW DELHI: The narcotics squad of
Outer North District
arrested three youths and seized a kg of heroin from their possession.
The recovered heroin is estimated to be worth Rs 3 crore in the international market.
The accused have been identified as Arshad Ali,
Arshad Khan and Tasleem. All three are friends and residents of Bareilly in western Uttar Pradesh.
"The arrests were made near
Bhalswa
Dairy Lake. Arshad Ali was their leader and had earlier lived in
Fatehganj
, a notorious place for drug smuggling. Ali is the henchman of notorious drug smuggler
Asif Kasai
(Fatehganj) and supplies heroin from him," said Brijendra Kumar Yadav, DCP, Outer North.
The three were arrested when they were travelling in car with UP registration number near Bhalswa lake. The car belongs to Arshad Khan and Taslim was with them.
