NEW DELHI: Delhi Police raided the house of Delhi Minority Commission chairperson

Zafarul Islam Khan

on Wednesday, to seize his mobile phone that was used to upload provocative social media posts, after which a case of sedition had been filed against him.


A police team reached Khan’s south Delhi house around evening and questioned some of his family members. Khan was not at home at that time. Police sources said that he would be called for questioning under the relevant law once the primary inquiry was completed. Meanwhile, Khan wrote a letter to the DCP of cyber cell claiming that he could not attend the questioning session at the cyber cell office in

Dwarka

since he was a septuagenarian and a heart patient. In the letter he mentioned that he would be available for them on the phone and would answer their questions if they call him during day time.
