However, the downpour brought in its wake reports of waterlogging and traffic jams on multiple stretches and outages in several areas.The heavy showers began around 6am and continued till evening. Gurugram received 55mm of rainfall in just 12 hours, according to data released by the district administration. Till September 22, the city had received 35. 6 mm of rainfall as compared to the normal of 72. 7 mm. Scattered light to moderate showers may occur over the next 2-3 days in Gurugram, according to the weather department that has issued a yellow alert for Friday, predicting thunderstorms and lightning.
