Delhi-Gurgaon travel: NH-48 closes partly for 90 days
Commuters moving to and from Delhi to Gurgaon will have to face a harrowing time as the carriageways of NH-48 Delhi-Jaipur Highway between Rangpuri and Rajokri will be closed for 90 days.

Speaking about diversions, an official said the traffic near the Shiv Murti intersection shall be diverted from the main highway to newly constructed slip roads. The closure of the carriageways may increase the volume of traffic on the road.

The police said commuters going towards or coming from Gurgaon and Jaipur can use the Mehrauli-Gurgaon road.
Police said commuters moving towards Dwarka, Kapashera and Najafgarh can travel via the Palam Road from the Gurgaon Road flyover.
According to the Delhi traffic police advisory issued on Sunday, construction work has necessitated the traffic diversions.
"The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is constructing the Dwarka Expressway under the Bharat Mala Project, which will start from the Dwarka Link Road, near Shiv Murti on NH-48 (Delhi-Jaipur Highway)," the advisory read.
Two underpasses and one elevated section will be constructed on NH-48. "To execute this work, both carriageways on NH-48 between Rangpuri and Rajokri will be closed," a traffic official said.
Speaking about diversions, an official said the traffic near the Shiv Murti intersection shall be diverted from the main highway to newly constructed slip roads. The closure of the carriageways may increase the volume of traffic on the road and cause inconvenience to people.
"People who are going towards the airport, ISBT, railway stations are advised to carefully plan their travel with sufficient time in hand," the official said.
