Delhi: 9 held at IGI Airport while trying to fly to Canada on fake documents
NEW DELHI: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport has nabbed nine people who were trying to fly to Canada with fake documents. One of them was identified as an intermediary who was helping the group exchange documents, boarding passes and ID cards.
The incident took place on Saturday evening around 10.30pm. An official said that on the basis of behaviour detection, CISF’s official observed some suspicious movement of four passengers in the check-in area of Terminal 3. They said that these people had entered inside the Security Hold Area from the domestic Immigration Check point by showing boarding passes of an Air India flight AI-349, scheduled to depart at 4am to Mumbai.
The CCTV cameras were then checked to track their movement and the four passengers were them intercepted. On checking them, they were found to be carrying boarding passes for an Air Canada Airlines Flight No. AC-043 sceduled to depart at 12.45am for Toronto on Sunday, in the name of

"On examination of their passport, immigration stamp and passport appeared to be forged which was later confirmed by the Immigration officials. On being enquired, it was revealed that they received those boarding cards and passport from four passengers namely Arun Kapoor, Krish Kapoor, Muskan Kapoor and Riya Kapoor, who have already cleared the PESC on the boarding pass of a flight bound for Toronto on Sunday," said a CISF official.
Those four passengers were detected and intercepted. Besides, one another passenger, Aman Nayyar, was also intercepted in the Boarding gate area of terminal 3 who was deputed to help them in document exchange. The IB/Immigration officials were informed and confirmed that this matter relates to human trafficking.
All nine passengers along with the recovered documents were handed over to Immigration for further action as per law.
