NEW DELHI: The seven-day-old infant who was critical in the roof collapse incident that occurred in Chandni Mahal on Monday passed away on Tuesday night. Earlier, his mother and three-year-old brother too had died.

The infant, identified as Junaid, was born on December 18 along with his twin sister. The twins along with their mother were discharged from the hospital on Christmas.

Police said the woman, identified as Ruksara, was based in Jaipur. She had come to her maternal home in Pahari Rajan area on December 16 for her delivery, bringing along her sons, five-year-old Abdul Rehman and one-year-old Subhan, and three-year-old daughter Alia. Two days later, she gave birth to a boy, Junaid, and a girl, Judera.

MCD officials said the building was 100 years old.
