Crackdown on drug traffickers: Police freeze assets worth nearly Rs 1 crore
New Delhi: In a major crackdown, Delhi Police has frozen "illegally" acquired assets worth around Rs 1 crore belonging to alleged drug traffickers. In one of the cases, action was taken against three individuals — Deepak, Vikram and Tushar — who were apprehended with 320 grams of heroin. Financial investigations into the role of the trio, who had extensive criminal records, led to the freezing of assets totaling Rs 7.6 lakh.

In another operation, Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) targeted a syndicate involved in the distribution of psychotropic substances. Six accused people, including Vikash, Sudhir and Vijay Goel, were arrested after the recovery of Tramadol, Alprazolam and Nitrazepam tablets. A financial probe identified properties worth over Rs 60 lakh acquired through drug money. DCP (ANTF) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said, "The action against drug traffickers will be intensified in the coming days."
