NEW DELHI: A trial court on Thursday summoned ACP Sanjeev Yadav, investigating officer in the September 13 serial blasts, after the defence counsel moved an application seeking details of recoveries made from the accused. The court asked Yadav to appear before it on March 3. Meanwhile, chief metropolitan magistrate Kaveri Baweja extended the judicial custody of accused Mohammed Saif, Zeeshan Ahmed, Saquib Nissar, Zia-ur -Rehman, Mohd Shakeel and Mohd Hakhim till March 5.
Five separate cases were registered in Karol Bagh, Connaught Place, Greater Kailash Part I and Tilak Marg police stations after the blasts and recovery of live bombs on September 13. The police have already filed chargesheets in three cases. The serial blasts had claimed 26 lives and left several others injured.
