New Delhi: The security of Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor was formally entrusted to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) during an induction ceremony held at New Ashok Nagar.
A total of 251 CISF personnel have been sanctioned for deployment at three Delhi Namo Bharat stations: Anand Vihar, New Ashok Nagar, and Sarai Kale Khan. However, Namo Bharat stations in Uttar Pradesh will be secured by Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Security Force.
Praveer Ranjan, DG, CISF, said, “As mobility systems become faster and more interconnected, our approach to security must be equally advanced, integrated, and technology-driven. CISF is committed to delivering a seamless, robust, and passenger-centric security environment that not only safeguards infrastructure but also inspires confidence among commuters.”
CISF provides specialised training in metro and transit security, including access control, screening, and crowd management. Personnel of UPSISF have also been trained by CISF at DMRC for securing RRTS stations in Uttar Pradesh.
