Chetan Chauhan briefcase stolen

An unidentified man made away with Chauhan's briefcase containing important papers and cash from his SUV parked at Ganesh Nagar in east Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.

NEW DELHI: Former cricketer and BJP candidate from East Delhi constituency Chetan Chauhan is the latest victim of the city's bag-lifters. An unidentified man made away with Chauhan's briefcase containing important papers and cash from his SUV parked at Ganesh Nagar in east Delhi on Wednesday afternoon. Chauhan was busy in his campaign in the Shakarpur area when the incident took place.
"We have parked three cars at Ganesh Nagar and all of us went to meet people of the area leaving behind the three drivers,'' said a party worker M R Arora.

"Within a few minutes, we received a call from the driver of Chauhan's car that a briefcase had been stolen,'' added Arora.
"The driver of the cars also tried to give the culprit a chase but he managed to flee. We informed the police but it took them more than half-an-hour to reach the spot. A complaint has been lodged at Pandav Nagar police station,'' said Arora.
No one has been arrested so far.
