NEW DELHI: An executive found his car stolen from the official DMRC parking at the Kaushambi Metro station and claimed that DMRC and the Indirapuram police were dragging their feet in investigating the case.
According to victim Bharat Bansal, he had parked his Ford Figo car at the Metro station parking last Monday. “I parked my car at 2pm on Monday and took a parking ticket.
The parking employee asked me to deposit the key with him. When I returned at 4pm and asked for my car key, both the car and the key were missing. When I called the cops, the parking employees accepted that the car got stolen because of their mistake. I have lodged an FIR,’’ he said.
Bansal then called up the DMRC station master, Arvind Kumar, and informed him about the incident. “He has asked me to meet him on August 20. He had arranged for a meeting with the parking sub-contractors but they did not turn up. All that DMRC has done so far is get me the CCTV footage on behalf of the cops,’’ alleged Bansal.
