NEW DELHI: A serving Indian Army brigadier and his son were allegedly assaulted by a group in southwest Delhi’s Vasant Enclave on Friday.
Sources said the incident occurred after they objected to two men drinking inside a car near their residence.
The incident was reported around 10pm in the Vasant Enclave area.
A complaint has been filed in this regard. Police said the matter is under investigation.
The Indian Army, in a statement, said, “The authorities in the Indian Army have taken serious cognisance of the case. A Military Police team has been directed to assist the officer. The Delhi Police has been approached to carry out an expeditious investigation and take action on priority.”
