A 19-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his relative's licensed pistol at his east Delhi residence on Wednesday.

NEW DELHI: A 19-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his relative's licensed pistol at his east Delhi residence on Wednesday.
The incident occurred when Aakash Sharma was in his room while his sisters were in the kitchen. Suddenly , they heard a gunshot and rushed to their brother's room and raised an alarm. Their neighbours hurried to help and informed the cops.

Aakash's parents were not at home at the time of incident.
"We received a call around 1pm about the incident. The boy was taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital where he was declared brought dead. We are investigating the matter," said a senior police officer.
Aakash had allegedly used his uncle's pistol for shooting himself. The pistol has been confiscated and the body has been sent for postmortem , cops said.
Relatives said Aakash was a dance trainer and used to coach many children in the area. Police sources said Aakash was in love with a girl but his family was allegedly not in favour of the match. He was depressed over this.
