GHAZIABAD: The bodies of two executives employed with two Delhi based companies were found by Hapur police in a car abandoned in a forested area in village Shyampur on Sunday morning. Both men had several deep gashes on their necks. "During investigation, police also found some empty bottles of alcohol in the Maruti Zen and few strands of a woman's hair," said Raghubir Lal, senior superintendent of police, Ghaziabad.
According to Lal, Piyush Gupta (30) was working in Delhi with a firm selling rice while Ajay Sharma (35) was working as a senior executive with a tractor manufacturing company. The deceased lived in Shivpuri Colony in Hapur. The duo had driven to Delhi in Gupta's car on Saturday morning and planned to return together late at night. They had reportedly started for Hapur around 10.45pm. Gupta had called his family at 11.30pm to say he would reach home soon. "Shortly after 5.30am on Sunday, a farmer found the abandoned car in the Shyampur forest area and informed the police," said a police officer. While Ajay Sharma is survived by a wife and two children, Piyush Gupta was unmarried.
