NEW DELHI: The blasts have matured Rayna (14) and Hardik (9) beyond their years. While the Sarojini Nagar blasts have claimed their father Rajiv Nigam, the siblings are now waiting for their mother to recover.
The kids were not allowed to meet their mother on Sunday, as doctors at Safdarjung Hospital said Veena's condition was critical with 75 per cent burns.

The family had gathered for a late lunch before going out for shopping at Sarojini Nagar on Saturday last when tragedy struck. The siblings came to know of their father's death only after being discharged from the hospital on Sunday.
"We have not informed Veena about her husband's death. It was hard enough informing the children, who are still under a shock after the blasts," said O P Ghambhir, Veena's relative.
The relatives had gathered at Veena's sister's house to break the news to the children, ensuring them all support.
"The children have been taken to Veena's sister's house in Gurgaon, as they could not bear the thought of staying at their residence in Faridabad. God forbid, if Veena's condition worsens what will become of her children?" said Veena's brother, Kamal Mongia.
"Why is it that the common man is the most vulnerable target of terrorist activities?" asked an angry Mongia. The family members claim that they have to walk at least a kilometre every day to get eatables.
"We have been living outside Safdarjung Hospital for the past nine days and have to move out of the campus to purchase essential commodities like food.
The only good part is that the doctors have been very helpful," said Pankaj Dudeja, another relative.
