BJP targets AAP over 'extortion'; AAP hits back

NEW DELHI: BJP MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma on Tuesday reiterated his allegation that AAP functionaries were extorting money from vendors at weekly markets.
He showed a purported video at a press conference to claim that a person with affiliations to AAP was extorting money. "Where does this money go? AAP should answer this," he said. Verma said he had also complained to the police about this.A senior AAP functionary rubbished the allegation and said the party would file a defamation case on the issue.
A few weeks ago, AAP had sent a legal notice to Verma, demanding an apology for levying allegations of extortion against its functionaries.
