NEW DELHI: The
Delhi Police on Wednesday released the first image of the man who allegedly attacked chief minister Rekha Gupta during a public grievance hearing at her Civil Lines residence.
Officials identified the accused as Rajesh Khimji Bhai Sakriya, a resident of Rajkot, Gujarat.
His name and address are being cross-verified with documents recovered from him.
Sources said Rajesh had come to the Jan Sunvai session with a plea to secure the release of a relative currently lodged in jail.
He was apprehended immediately after the incident and taken to Civil Lines police station for questioning.
