AROH Foundation, a leading NGO, celebrated World Earth Day by organizing plantation drives, awareness rallies as well as competitions in schools and villages, across Delhi-NCR on Monday.

AROH Foundation, a leading NGO, celebrated World Earth Day by organizing plantation drives, awareness rallies as well as competitions in schools and villages, across Delhi-NCR on Monday.
On the occasion of World Earth Day, 500 underprivileged children enrolled with RISE, run by AROH in Sangam Vihar slums participated in a ‘best out of waste’ competition organized by AROH.

The NGO also organized a plantation drive and encouraged the slum dwellers for ‘no power consumption for 15 mins drive’.

Talking about the activities carried out by the NGO, Dr. Neelam Gupta, President AROH Foundation said, “World Earth Day is a day on which millions of people across the globe participate to accelerate work towards conservation and sustainability. We at AROH are doing our bit by holding a number of awareness drives and rallies to make people understand the importance of conserving our planet.”

Additionally, more than 1000 students in schools of UP, Bihar and Odisha participated in plantation drives, awareness rallies, and painting competitions. A pond cleaning drive was also held in the villages of Chattisgarh along with awareness drive on sustainable living.
