NEW DELHI: Alumni Association JNU (AAJ) on Sunday paid tribute to the Indian Army personnel who were killed in the recent border clashes with China at Galwan Valley.
AAJ, in association with Veterans India organised 4th edition of its AAJ Webinar Series at JNU in which Union minister General VK Singh was the chief guest. He launched a "wall of honour" on the occasion as a tribute to the valour and courage of the soldiers.
AAJ also anounced to give a "scroll of honour” to each of the of Galwan Valley martyrs.
Speaking on the occasion, JNU registrar Dr Pramod Kumar said: "We are able to sleep peacefully just because we have our army safeguarding us putting their own lives in danger,” adding that AAJ’s organisation of the event immediately after the Sino-India Galwan Valley clashes and AAJ’s association with Veterans India are truly praise worthy.
