NEW DELHI: ACB on Tuesday sent a notice to former chief minister Sheila Dikshit, asking her to join the investigation into the alleged tanker scam. She will be examined in connection with the procurement of water meters. ACB also summoned the Delhi government officials probing the alleged scam to join the investigation. The case of illegal procurement of 2.5 lakh water meters had been registered with ACB by the Kejriwal government when it first came to power for 49 days, officials said.

ACB sources said that being a woman, Dikshit hadn’t been asked to come to their office, a police station. “We have asked her to convey to us a convenient date, time and place wherein an interview can be conducted with her,” an official said.

As regards the questioning of the members of the Delhi government’s fact-finding committee, ACB said the idea was to understand how they arrived at the figure of Rs 440 crore as loss of revenue.

An FIR had been filed against both the Dikshit and Kejriwal governments last month
