AAP, BJP start poll outreach
New Delhi: AAP and BJP have begun their outreach programs ahead of the assembly elections in Feb, with AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva reaching out to people in rural parts of Delhi on Sunday.Speaking at a Dangal competition in Karala village, Mundka, former chief minister Kejriwal highlighted the achievements of AAP govt, including world-class schools and hospitals, free bus travel for women, and free ‘teerth' services for the elderly. He claimed that BJP wanted to halt these initiatives, and added that he was ready to face jail 100 times for Delhiites, but would not let any project stop as long as he had the people's blessings."Prior to 2015, Delhi faced unbearably long power cuts. Today, Delhi is the only state with 24x7 power supply," he said. "In the last nine years, we built 10,000 km of roads along with 6,800 km of drain and sewer lines, and 4,000 km of water pipelines in unauthorised colonies," he added. tnn
