The slip may or may not be deliberate, but it has certainly set the rumour mills rolling. In her address in the rally, chief minister Sheila Dikshit introduced all the Congress candidates from the city but "forgot'' to mention the name of MoS UD Ajay Maken, often referred to as her bete noire. On being prompted, she smartly took his name saying, "Maken is contesting from my own New Delhi constituency.''
The "miss'' is widely perceived as the latest example of the growing rift between her and her one-time favourite Maken who has not just been a minister in the Dikshit cabinet, but also became the Speaker of the Assembly mainly at her behest.
