Jama Masjid


Jama Masjid is one of India's largest and most revered mosques. The word ‘Jama’ is derived from the word ‘Jummah’, which is the mass prayer observed by Muslims every Friday. Built between 1650 and 1656 in Shahjahanabad, the former capital of the Mughal Empire, it served as the imperial mosque for generations of rulers. Delhi’s Jama Masjid is one of the largest mosques in India and can accommodate 25,000 devotees in its huge courtyard at a time!

Nizamuddin Dargah

Fatehpuri Masjid located near the western end of Chandni Chowk, Fatehpuri Masjid stands as a testament to the architectural splendor of the Mughal era. which was built in 1650 by Fatehpuri Begum, one of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan’s wives, is the first mosque in the city where major conservation and repair work is being done by the board.

Jamali Kamali Mosque


Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb located in the picturesque Archaeological Village complex in Mehrauli, it is a true marvel of craftsmanship, the single-domed mosque is made of red sandstone. Delhi quartzite, and white marble, this single-domed mosque boasts intricately decorated lotus-shaped medallions that captivate the eye.

Qila-i-Kuhna


Qila-i-Kuhna (Mosque of the Old Fort) stands as a testament to Delhi's rich architectural heritage.
