NEW DELHI: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Tuesday filed an FIR against five youth who created a ruckus at the Rajendra Place metro station on Monday. The accused stand to have a maximum penalty of seven years imprisonment slapped against them.
DMRC officials said that the five, Kapil Sharma, Sagar Sharma, Sumit Singh, Nadeem, and Jatin Gupta got into an altercation with housekeeping staff near the automatic fare collection entry gate at the station and had later jumped over the AFC gates onto the tracks, leading to a disruption of train services.

"Preliminary investigation indicated that two of them were drunk. A complaint has been lodged against them at the Rajouri Garden metro station SHO for obstructing metro trains/services and endangering the safety of persons travelling by the Metro railway under Sections 64, 67, 68 and 79 of Delhi Metro Railway (Operation & Maintenance) Act, 2002," said a spokesperson.
