Delhi Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly killing his female friend following a heated
argument
at a
hotel
in
southwest Delhi
’s
Vasant Kunj
on Saturday.
The man and the woman had an argument over her befriending another man, and the accused allegedly smashed her head to the floor, killing her on the spot.
The arrested man has been identified as Shivam Chauhan, a resident of Rakesh Marg in Ghaziabad, UP, who is an undergraduate. A PCR call at 3pm informed police at Vasant Kunj Police Station that a woman’s body was found in a room at Hotel Lak Residency. The man who had checked into the hotel room with her was missing.
"We found that the man, Shivam Chauhan, was in a relationshipo with the woman for the last four years. They both had checked into the hotel on Friday, but he fled around 11pm," DCP (southwest) Gaurav Sharma said.
Chauhan was located and arrested from UP. Police said that he has confessed to the murder over another man.
